Summer in Taos Ski Valley

When the temperature heats up, the rates go down but the activity level remains high. From the lodge, guests can take self-guided natures tours and hikes into the surrounding wilderness of the Kit Carson National Forest and visit the stunning Williams Lake Glacier Canyon.

Other activities include mountain biking, white-water rafting, fishing, and horseback riding. We are happy to make arrangements for guided day trips; we recommend that you reserve as much in advance as possible.

In summer our restaurant is open Thursday through Sunday, 11:30 until 4:30 for lunch and starting dinner at 5:30 until closing. Lodging is available throughout the week. Be sure to ask us about our reduced summer rates and our "Romantic Getaway" package.

Summer events include stargazing evenings at the lodge, opera performances by the Taos Operatic Institute, and chamber-music concerts by participants in the Taos School of Music. The fun spills over into early fall, when we celebrate Oktoberfest with bands, German food, dancing, and contests with prizes.
